MUSIC BUSINESS TRAINING
The music industry is rather like the Wild West at first: publishers, mangers, labels, A&Rs, royalties, copyrights, SABAM, clubs, festivals....where to start? Who does what exactly and where does all that money come from and preferably: your way!
So if you want to get started as a music professional, you quickly run into all sorts of obstacles. You probably don't know exactly how the music business works, and how do you get in touch with the right people? How do you protect your rights? How do you reach the right audience for your product? But also very practical matters cause a lot of confusion in the beginning. Do you have to go to the Chamber of Commerce and register with BUMA/Stemra/Sena? What about your administration and taxes?
In our part-time Music Business program, you'll really learn all about the business side of the music and media world. We take away all those kinds of obstacles step by step, so you can get started confidently.

The Music Business course is suitable for anyone who wants to take his/her business/career to the next level.
Suitable for all ages 18 and up.
You do not have to apply for admission to this program. However, we do check your motivation and goals before the start of the year.
Very compatible with another education or full-time job.
We have skilled teachers for every business in the industry. Popular professions include A&R, independent artist, influencer, studio owner, manager, label manager.

You will receive 3 classes per month for 10 months. You will also be guided and supported by industry pros. We put our years of experience and network at your disposal and will help you achieve your goals to the best of our ability.

You can take this year if you want to become an artist or producer, beatmaker, composer, studio boss, or all-around entrepreneur in music. So it's important that you do have/be a product or brand to start selling or releasing.

In principle, anyone can join; as long as you are motivated! However, a short online intake will follow after registration to double-check if the course really suits you.

The Music Business course starts once a year in September.
Classes are held in Hilversum, near the train station.
Classes are on Sunday afternoons.

The part-time course "Music Business" lasts ten months.

€ 3895,-
Paying in installments
You pay the a deposit of €895 within 6 weeks of your registration but no later than 4 weeks before the start.
Thereafter, you will pay in 10 monthly installments of €300, which will be billed monthly from the first month of training.
SUBSIDIES
As an entrepreneur, you can take advantage of the Werktuig PPO subsidy (up to €2000). See werktuigppo.nl for more information about the subsidy and how to apply for it.
LEND
You may qualify for a loan. You then pay off the tuition in, say, 3 years. You will of course pay interest. Mail us for the possibilities.
